Originally sampled in 2012, whisky Cask No. 970331 was put aside for an additional 7 years resulting in this very special 20-year-old release from Smith’s Angaston, the final vatting of this historic 1997 distillation. Made using Franklin barley from Tasmania, malted at Cooper’s Brewery in Adelaide and then distilled at Yalumba in the Hills above Angaston, Barossa, South Australia.
The expression is dedicated to the memory of Peter John Wall, ‘The Great Wall’ – the late Production manager at the distillery.
